Craig Wireless Systems Ltd. says it has deployed Canada’s first 4G WiMAX network in Vancouver, B.C.

The deployment is part of the first phase of a WiMAX network announced by Craig Wireless and Motorola in September 2009. When complete later this year, the Craig network is expected to serve over one million people in and around Vancouver.

“With the eyes of the world on Vancouver we’re excited to showcase how individuals and businesses will be able to access the internet wirelessly at true broadband speeds using this revolutionary technology,” said T. Boyd Craig, founder and co-CEO of Craig Wireless Systems Ltd.
