Storm Copper Components introduced a new grounding bar and optional kit; these UL-listed, 6-in. solid cold-drawn copper ground bars divert maximum current associated with lightning strikes common to communication towers and antenna installations. They afford greater space for attaching multiple cables with compression lugs; the additional size also increases spacing from the outside edge to 2 in., further isolating connections. Storm 6-in. grounding bars are available in lengths of 12 in., 16 in. and 18 in., though custom sizes can be ordered. Kits make ordering convenient: for example, a kit includes ground bar with standoff insulators, stainless mounting brackets, hex bolts and spring-lock washers.
