April 6, 2009 Westcon Group Inc., a distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, has appointed Andy Banks to the position of vice-president, Comstor Business Unit, a Westcon Group company. In his new position, Banks is responsible for managing Comstor’s North American business, including facilitating and executing its corporate strategy. He will focus on driving sales opportunities and increasing Westcon’s overall Cisco market share. Banks is a 20-year veteran of the IT channel, having held executive and sales management roles at manufacturers such as Cisco and Avaya.
