Toshiba Surveillance & IP Network Video unveiled the latest generation of Surveillix digital video recorders (DVRs) designed to support up to 32 channels of IP video (including megapixel IP network cameras). Housed in a black chassis, the five new G4 recorders deliver higher performance than previous Surveillix generations, says Toshiba, by incorporating Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processors, up to 3GB of RAM and maximum video storage capacity of 8 TB. The recorders are compatible with cameras and other networking components from major manufacturers. The G4 models include: IPS, NVS, HVS, XVS and DVS series—each with its own attributes.
