Exfo FTB-8140 supports full ODU multiplexing |

Exfo has introduced a software suite that brings increased functions to the FTB-8140 Transport Blazer 40/43 gigabit test module. It supports full ODU multiplexing capability as well as independent transmission/reception settings. With the multiplexing functionality, service providers can test ODU1 and ODU2 containers within the OTU3 signal and allows SONET/SDH payloads and 10 gigabit ethernets to be mapped into the containers. Exfo says that this creates tests that reflect more real-life parameters than ever before.
