 Ideal Industries has appointed Jason Butchko to General Manager of its Networks Division succeeding Jouke Rijpstra, who is retiring next year. Butchko will be responsible for managing the performance and strategic direction of the network and electrical testing business units, along with the company’s line of datacom products, which include installation tools and connection supplies.“We are excited to welcome Jason to IDEAL,” said Jim James, Ideal president and CEO, to whom Butchko now reports. “We’re confident in his ability to translate fast-changing technology into solutions that will help elevate the Ideal brand worldwide with data communications professionals.” Butchko will be based in San Diego, Calif., the network testing business unit’s HQ. He brings over 20 years of senior executive experience to Ideal; most recently, he served as vice-president of business development for Westco Scientific Instruments Inc.—a privately held manufacturer of instrumentation and sample prep equipment for environmental, industrial, chemical and clinical laboratories.
