Cisco Networking Academy congratulates winners of 2009 Canada and US NetRiders skills challenge PDF Print E-mail
Congratulations to the winners of the Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders skills challenge, an interactive contest that gives technical education students the opportunity to showcase their IT and networking skills. It also recognizes excellence among the students. More than 600 participants from across Canada and the US competed in the challenge, which consisted of three rounds culminating in a virtual event on Nov. 20.

Chris Cowie and Danny Machnik of Durham College in Oshawa, Ont. placed second and were awarded a grand-prize trip to Cisco headquarters in San Jose, Calif. There they will join other international winners and have the opportunity to meet with Cisco executives and tour the company’s offices, the Stanford University campus and attractions in San Francisco.

Berthold Verress and Vincent Séguin of Cégep de l'Outaouais in Quebec placed eighth in the event.
